What is this new Bulgarian stupidty about fining dirty cars.

The 1st policeman who will fine me for it will have a hard job scrubbing my tire marks from his face.

Come on, don`t be rude! More of the point you don`t have a right to step upon a policeman!
Alas, you`ll get used to it - hearing all kind of rubbish you can and, mostly, can`t think of - all of it invented by our law-makerers.... Soon you will get to the conclusion that bulgarian rulers are elected by regulation to be dumb, greedy, money-grubbing, narrow-minded, susceptible to criminality. Next thought - why do we tolerate them?... This is a big question and I throw the gauntlet to you - answer this question, can you?
We, bulgarians, have a proverb - Anything is just for three days - practically it means that you don`t pay attention and in a little time every sensation is forgotten!

As far as I read, the fine will be for dirty registration plates and / or dirty windows only (dirty enough to impair visibility). I wouldn't be that concerned, and wouldn't trust bulgarian newspapers (unless they say it's sunny outside, and you have a window to doublecheck )

there are similar laws in california as well.
Anything obstructing the registration plate ( including tow hitch ) is a violation and a subject to a fine.
Any kind of tint on front windows or windshield too.
However, they do not enforce it untill you get pulled over for something else.
I don't see the stupidity in it. That's why we have registration plates so they can be seen.
If we didn;t need to see them, then we wouldn't have them. Will go only by VIN number.
Make sence to you now?
Bottom line, every country have some rules that don't make sence. We just live with it.
If you want more stupid rules let me know. I can pull some out. No matter what country you come from.

Благодаря за забележката! Има дости лоши неща, които ни пречат да живеем нормално и ги казвам. Казвам ги, защото искам да се променят. Какво значение има кой е попитал - българин или чужденец? Не следвам фалшивия соц. морал "айде да не се излагаме пред чужденците" .

This is the stupidist of all comments.
Bulgaria is in many people's eye a nice country but it has only rules to make corruption possible... just like this one.... it just screems.... for another 10 leva deal...

You people should stop accepting these things and start make your country great and attractive, instead of always nagging on everyone and everything...

I have served the 10 leva prostitutes in the white Astra's. As a foreigner living 6 years in BG, I felt like walking around with a huge " $ " sign on my head. The beggers in the Astra's costed me more $ /km then fuel. But untill now, I didn't have to drive over some copper's face.

You all do as you want. I tried to be nice but got stabbed in the back. Should I behave like a Bulgarian and try to screw everyone ??? Is that what you all are suggesting ?

Btw, have you ever felt when a "white Astra begger" threatens to arrest you, for having a (small) dempt in the car... I should get a makeover "stante pede"

Btw in my home country, I wouldn't have the patience I showed in BG. Complaining about bad or unreasonable cops (or other things for that matter) is very easy.

I have been good to Bulgaria but no return whatsoever.

90% of all foreigners I've met don't like Bulgaria any more after 3-5 years. When integration doesn't go in the west we need to in Bulgaria, if we like it or not. There are basically only 2 posibilities. One can't keep moving all his live. We all have and make mistakes.

Kuzdov, why don't you ask the question ? What can we do to make it a nice place ? Developing a positive attitude to others would serve your country more the this macho behaviour. When all of you would start doing something it might get your country back up again.

Did you ever asked yourself the question why all the english, that worked a liftime to buy a nice house in BG, sell and go back ? You should be flattered they chose BG, but instead I see only reactions like yours "ние сме така: Булгариа ни ти харесва, цао"
