Hummer 1 - проложи свой путь...
Самые лучшие автомобили делают в России.....но только они получаются с пушкой и на гусеничном ходу............ http://forum-lines.ru/rez/ab77783.gif
The discussion you're linking to is a discussion about axles - basically, "what axles should I choose for a vehicle I'm building which will have":
1. Lockout hubs.
2. 6:1 ratio
3. Being able to sustain 300hp with a lot of torque
4. Being able to deal with tires at least 44" in size
5. NOT come from ZIL, Unimog and such.
6. No need for them to be reductors.
7. No need for brakes (here I'm a bit lost, I'm more of a motorcycle guy - he means brakes on the axles/hubs, not the brakes on the wheels. I'm not completely familiar with this).
8. Being readily available as a spare part (not some expensive/custom/exotic part).
The ones in the pictures are from a tractor, and are a used as a confirmation that tractor axles can be used (in the previous threads, tractor axles are mentioned as being too heavy for regular offroad vehicles).
Other donor vehicles mentioned are Praga trucks and such.
The Dana 60 are also mentioned as a solution
The floating vehicle is a Russian self made hybrid including a full body of an OKA car (small russian made car), with axles from a GAZ 69 truck and the original OKA engine and transmission (4 speed transmission, the engine is less than 1000cm3, which makes me think the vehicle is underpowered)
Top speed is 35mph on ground and 3Mph on water.
Hope that helps.

Thank you Goblin, it sure helpes.
Do they also mention how they made the traction ?
I think these tractor axles are only front axles, and they aren't active...
I'll go have a look at these tractors tomorrow.
I believe they are active. They definitely look slightly different from the ones on the tractor pic. My wild guess - two front axles from a 4x4 tractor maybe - they both steer, so I guess the guys kept the steering function front and back.
As for the other vehicle, the Russians have a tradition in out of the box thinking every time extreme offroad is involved - you can check this movie here:
It's about a machine designed initially for the military, which is pretty amazing as far as offroad capabilities go.
The movie is in russian, but it's pretty self-explanatory. Nowadays it's still made by the Russians, as well as copied in Sweden. Definitely worth a look.
